March 2009 Crunchbusters! 99% of PBMW grids full
Despite the credit crunch and mere weeks since race entrys were open, 99% of grid spaces have been filled!.
The championship is massively popular due to its cost effective route into single make tin top racing, and also the friendly paddock atmosphere where fellow racers will practically line up to help each other out.
Even if a race appears full keep sending your entrys in, more race time can be bought. At Brands Hatch for example there will be
three races.
I'm pleased to announce our confirmed 2009 championship sponsors, please take
the time to visit their sites and give them a call if you require any of their services!! Click for full article

July 2008 Project 8 Racing joins MSVR
In 2009 P8R will be joining the MSVR
(MotorSport Vision Racing) stable after first
being approached by them earlier in the year.
This really is great news for the club and offers
us a long term future with a premium calendar,
but still with the freedom to look elsewhere to
supplement and/or replace our MSVR events
should we choose.
It also offers us the added benefits of a
permanent Clerk of the Course and Eligibility
Scrutineer. This really is great for our club,
gives us a fantastic level of credibility, and is
testament to all the drivers committing to our
2008 changes and making this the success it is.
We will share the MSVR events with various
series such as GT Cup, Formula Palmer Audi,
and of course the Lotus Elise Trophy.
Both Project 8 Racing and MSVR are forward
thinking organisations, committed to the future
development of Club Level Motorsport and
share the ability and desire to further our
successes to date.
Crucially Project 8 Racing will remain in full
financial and regulatory control of the series' -
continuing the focus of 'by the drivers, for the
drivers'. This of course means our low cost
entry fees and not-for-profit approach is very
much unchanged.
We will also continue to scour the market to
find affordable opportunities to race at
desirable circuits to both supplement and
enhance our core calendar.
June 2008 Project 8 Racing recieve MSA club status
Double Celebration for Production BMW
& Toyo Tires Racing Saloons!
Project 8 Racing have reason to be cheerful
after the confirmation this week of MSA Club
status.
This does not imply any change to our
cherished and valued link with SELOC, which
we anticipate will continue to be fruitful and
enjoyable.
Many thanks to you all for your support and
encouragement.
April 2008 PBMW spirit is strong
Engine changes at race meets are sometimes
seen, but its not often you see a crowd of
competitors changing and engine for a fellow
competitor.
What happens when the man supplying the
meat for the BBQ blows his engine whilst
testing the day before race day? Simple, when
everyone arrives later that day, someone
brings an engine with them and all the drivers
dig in to get the old engine out and a new
one in.
Those that can do, and everyone else gathers
around passing spanners and beer (thats truley
the important job). And 3 hours after the
engine arrives, the cars up and running and
being tested around the paddock.
Its times like this that make us all realise that
we are all part of something special.
