Brands Hatch another two wins for the Mazda of Stacy Vickers, the first after a race long battle with Leigh Franklin and the second after swapping the lead several times with John Willcocks. Nigel Innes took a well deserved podium in both races in his 325e.

Rockingham Qualifying in  dreadful conditions led to Don Hughes taking his brilliant first pole of the year in his class E 1600cc Golf. Luckily for the rear wheel drive contingent, the weather improved for the races. A resurgent Stacy Vickers now with fully functioning Rotary power restored took both wins.

Cadwell Park In brilliant sunshine, at last the Lotus onslaught was halted (just) when John Willcocks scraped home in front of a hard charging Leigh Franklin with half a second separating them at the end.

Brands Hatch provided another two race wins for the irepressible Leigh Franklin in the Lotus. This time with some stiffer competition with the first three cars within 3/10ths of the leaders lap time

Castle Combe Leigh Franklin takes our first race in his Lotus Sunbeam on Easter Monday. A full grid of 42 cars thanks to the support of our enthusiastic drivers.            

 

TTRS hit 80 registrations before the season starts. Exceeding all expectations, paid up registrations for TTRS have hit 80 drivers. We are very much looking forward to packed grids and fun times in 2008.

 

Autosport list TTRS racer Vickers as a Top Ten club driver of the year.

Stacy Vickers was listed as the 8th best club driver of the 2007 season. Along with Andrew Andrew Partridge from the PBMW Cup series in 4th place, this sees the top two Club saloon racers in TTRS in 2008.

Autosport said "Stacy Vickers strolled to his third Group 1 Touring Car title, but it was his performance against faster machinery in the more modern series that best demonstrated his racecraft."

TTRS Leads Autosport's National News.

Autosport devoted the entire front page to the news that TTRS was launching for 2008. An interview with series representative John Willcocks told the story of the low cost initiative.
