Toyo Tires Racing Saloons
With the simple aim of providing low cost, competitive club racing for pre-1994 saloon cars the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons series is now in its second season. With full grids, a friendly community of drivers and close racing at some of the UK's best circuits, TTRS provides a great experience for anybody considering UK circuit racing.

TTRS grids are always busy. With a high number of entrants and a simple system of reserves, the series typically fills grids to capacity. Some wizardry in backroom admin means that the club's committee rarely turns drivers away. At some recent events the club has arranged extra races at short notice to accomodate more drivers.

Race fees are very competitive. A double header (20 min qually and 2 X 20 minute races) is currently £200. The club believes in keeping fees low. Its efficient structure and volunteer committee members keep the costs down.

TTRS has a simple class system allowing a great range of cars on track. From factory engined BMW 318s up to fire breathing Jaguars, the series features a great range of cars. Hot rotary engined Mazdas, VW Golfs, BMW M3s, Sierra Cosworths, Corrados, Talbot Sunbeams, Ford Capris and Vauxhall Corsas all compete. The racing is always close, driving standards are very high and the club strictly polices driver conduct to ensure contact is avoided.

Its relationship with MSVR has given TTRS access to the best UK circuits. Brands Hatch Indy, Brands Hatch GP, Silverstone International, Cadwell Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Rockingham, Castle Combe and Donington have all featured in the TTRS calendar. Typically races are held on a single day with a 20 minute qualifying session followed by two 20 minute races during the afternoon, although there is some variation in the format.

With simple regulations allowing limited modifications, the spirit of the club is focused on safe and simple racing. Check the regs & entries page for the club's regulations. We retain a permanent MSA scrutineer and our committee members are always on hand to answer technical questions via the forum.

We are looking for new drivers to join us to build on the success of a club that has produced some of the closest and friendliest club racing in the UK. Visit our forum for more information, see the regs & entries page for details of how to join the club.
